Dr. John F. Buzzatto
Dr. Buzzatto graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also was a varsity wrestler and captained the team in 1972–73. He then completed both dental school and a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Buzzatto maintains a private orthodontic practice in Allison Park, while also serving as Clinical Director of the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine. He is a Board Certified Specialist recognized by the American Board of Orthodontics. He has served on the medical staffs at both Allegheny General Hospital and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Buzzatto has been active with organized dentistry, especially orthodontics where he has served as president of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists (1988), Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists (1997-98), Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario and western Pennsylvania) (1998-99) and the American Association of Orthodontists (20,000 members worldwide) (2012-13). His professional associations include: American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania.
Dr. Buzzatto has been an active member and past President of the Bridgeville Rotary Club. His daughter, Bailey, is a graduate of the University of Maryland and his son, Zachary (LT), is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy.
